Millcreek Township police said two people will likely face weapons charges in a weekend fight and shooting at a township tavern. The fight involved two members of a local motorcycle club and a larger group of people from another motorcycle club, police said this morning. Words were exchanged inside the Oasis Pub, 3122 West Lake Road, before the group stepped outside and the two members of the one club were beaten up by members of the other club, police said.During the fight, another member of the first motorcycle club arrived, pulled out a handgun and fired a shot into the air to break up the fight, Millcreek police Capt. The incident was reported to Millcreek police at 12:10 a.m. Saturday.
The two people who were beaten up were treated for cuts and bruises, Tesore said. No one was injured in the shooting.
The person who fired the gun will likely be charged with a weapons offense, Tesore said. Another person faces a weapons charge after he was found in possession of brass knuckles, he said.
Police are still trying to sort out the details of the incident and identify all who were involved, Tesore said.
