Man speeding to his court date gets 3 tickets in an hour

OFF THE WIRE
A man rushing through Oregon to make his court date on a meth possession charge managed to get three speeding tickets in an hour, police said. According to the AP, Jose Romero-Valenzuela, of Las Vegas, Nev., was cited for going 105 mph, 98 mph and finally moseying along at 92 mph. The tickets eventually had some effect, as after the third one he was clocked at traveling the posted speed limit of 65 mph. In addition to racking up $2,000 in fines, his license could also be suspended for up to 90 days. No word on whether he made it to today's scheduled court appearance on time, but he's likely to have another one coming up soon.
