LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Electra Barakos Official Website) Over the years, the Musicians' Picnic has generated over $1,000,000 in revenue with an attendance of over 79,000. The funds raised, after expenses of site rentals and production costs, are donated to the "MusiCares/ MAP Fund". Past performances by Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Mick Fleetwood, War, Devo, Great White, Slash, David Crosby, Billy Idol, The Motels, Jerry Cantrell, just to name a few. This years 25th annual was no different with a line up withElectra, Missing Persons, TSOL, The Tubes and WAR.
Electra took the stage and played a very soulful and high energy set with a little opera thrown in the mix and won the music hungry crowed over. Electra said she was honored to play for a cause that helped troubled musicians get back on their feet. Electra is going back in the studio to record her next single "Outerspace" with a video to follow by the end of the year
Missing Persons followed and played hit after hit "Words", "Destination Unknown", "Walking in LA". Dale Bozzio also had a long time friend Prescott Niles on bass from The Knack and the two had a chemistry on stage that showed the years between them.
