Person Dies After Fight By Sin City Disciples Club
Colorado Springs police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Saturday near the Sin City Disciples Motorcycle clubhouse.

Police said there was a fight outside the club on West Vermijo Avenue near Chestnut Street at about 5:30 a.m. Investigators said two people tried to drive away, but someone fired shots at their car.

The driver of the car told police that the passenger suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Penrose Main Hospital and pronounced dead 10 minutes later, according to police. The name of the victim has not been released yet.

Saturday afternoon, the Colorado Springs Police Tactical Enforcement Unit got a warrant to search the motorcycle clubhouse.

According to a CSPD press release, "A search warrant was obtained for the clubhouse and due to the structure of the entryway door, TEU was requested to gain entry. Entry was gained through a conducted directional energy device and the clubhouse was secured."

KRDO Newschannel 13 spoke with a man who said he used to a be a member of the Sin City Disciples. He said, before he left the group two years ago, there were about 21 members. He said he wouldn't be surprised if the group was linked to the shooting.

"If someone picks a fight with someone who's in the club, everyone sticks up for the member," said the man, who requested we didn't use his name because he didn't want to be retaliated against. "There were a lot of fights. I got out because I have a wife and kid."

Anyone with information about the deadly shooting is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP to remain anonymous
